Heat Advisories
As summer temperatures creep into the 90s, the danger of you or someone you love experiencing a heat-related illness is dramatically increased. In the event of a heat-related emergency, call 9-1-1 right away. If you’re worried about your or a loved one’s ability to cope with the heat this summer, here are some folks that can help:
Bucks County
Seniors can get in touch with the offices of the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging: 215-348-0510 (M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) or 1-800-243-3767 (after hours and weekends).

Chester County
While the supply lasts, the Chester County Department of Aging Services may be able to provide electric fans for senior citizens. Call the 24/7 Senior Heat Emergency Hotline 610-344-6350 for more information.
In addition, the Chester County Home Modification Program may be able to assist individuals/families with hot weather relief/assistance as long as they have a doctor’s note documenting the heat relief/assistance need and they meet all other Home Modification Program guidelines. This program may need some time to verify need and eligibility so they can respond. Delaware County
Seniors can get in touch with the Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging at 610-490-1300 or 1-800-416-4504.
