Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day
PhillyHealthInfo.org and The College of Physicians of Philadelphia would like to thank everyone involved for making Take a Love One to the Doctor Day 2009 a success! For photos from the April 7th kick off event, see the live stream below:
Out of all of the cities that participated in the event, Philadelphia had the most participation from local organizations! TALO provided guests a wide selection of resources and services; from the early morning presentations and exercise classes to the health screenings and health information booths. If you didn’t make it down to the College on April 7th, that doesn’t mean it’s too late to get a check up. Many of the organizations who were at the College on April 7th have locations in a community near you:
- Clinic Locator - National Nursing Centers Consortium
- Health Centers - Philadelphia Department of Public Health
- HIV Testing - BEBASHI
- Insurance Counseling and Health Care Hotline - Philadelphia Unemployment Project
- Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program
