Vaccines and Autism

imageSome parents of children with autism are concerned that vaccines are the cause. Their concerns center on three areas:

1) The measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine
2) Thimerosal, a mercury-containing preservative previously found in several vaccines
3) The notion that babies receive too many vaccines too soon

The Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has put together a great fact sheet that talks about all three concerns.  Click here to read more. In addition, the Vaccine Education Center provides informational tear sheets, VHS tapes, booklets and DVDs in both English and Spanish.
