ASCEND Group
ASCEND Group, Inc., an Asperger Syndrome information alliance for Southeastern Pennsylvania, was founded in 2001. It was started by two mothers of children with Asperger Syndrome as a means to create a community of people who are concerned about the many ways that Asperger Syndrome, high-functioning autism, and PDD affect children and their families in the home, at school and in every area of their lives.

Autism Sharing and Parenting
ASP is a volunteer-run, community-based, support group which aims to:
  • Provide a support system for children with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and their families
  • Educate the under-informed and culturally diverse populations of Philadelphia and Montgomery counties
  • Advocate for Children with ASD and their families
  • Increase awareness of Autism and autism issues in Philadelphia & Montgomery counties and PA
ASP meets twice monthly in Philadelphia. Usually, the 3rd Wed and 3rd Sat of each month. Exceptions are holidays, inclement weather, etc. ASP provides interactive recreation for the children and their siblings while the parents/caregivers meet. Contact: 215-413-7106 or nasya06@msn.com

Autism Society of America - Greater Philadelphia Chapter
The ASA’s mission is to promote lifelong access and opportunities for persons within the autism spectrum and their families, to be fully included, participating members of their communities through advocacy, public awareness, education and research related to autism. The Autism Support Network consists of approximately 30 families all living in the surrounding communities of Bucks and Montgomery Counties, who share information, support and organize activities for the families of children diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
