Nutrition Services Program - Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
The Nutrition Services Program is subdivided into several areas of specialization. A Nutrition Counseling Service, staffed by pediatric dietitians, is available for referrals to a registered dietitian for nutritional assessment and dietary recommendations. A Home Parenteral Nutrition Service, staffed by a physician, nurse and dietitian team, offers comprehensive services to manage the wide variety of conditions requiring outpatient parenteral nutrition support. A Weight Management Program and Failure to Thrive Service,which specializes in the medical evaluation and nutritional management of obesity, failure to thrive and disorders of bone mineralization, is jointly staffed by a physician and a dietitian.
