Adoption

If you are pregnant and not sure if you want to become a parent, you might be thinking about adoption.  The decision to place a child up for adoption is a difficult one because adoption is permanent.  Luckily, counseling is available at various agencies throughout the Delaware Valley to help you explore your options and find the best home for your child.

In addition, prospective parents have many options when it comes to adopting a child into their families.  There are international adoption opportunities as well as domestic ones; there is also the option of adopting an older child; or becoming a foster parent.  Talking to adoption professionals in your community can help determine the right path for you and your family.

PhillyHealthInfo.org is here to help you get answers to your questions and find health services in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia County. Our resource list in the blue box on the right side of the page is a good place to start.
