Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

imageAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that makes it hard for a person to sit still, pay attention, or control their behavior. As many as 1 out of every 20 children may have ADHD and most are diagnosed before the age of seven.  In many cases, ADHD can make it difficult for children to make friends or succeed in school.  For that reason, parents and teachers must work with doctors and other trained professionals to discover treatment that works for each individual child.  Treatment for ADHD may or may not require medication along with counseling and therapy; as well as community, family, and classroom support.  To get answers to all your ADHD questions, visit our list of Recommended Sites.
