Drug Abuse

Drug abuse comes in many shapes and forms.  There are those who abuse illegal street drugs such as cocaine and heroin.  There are also people who abuse prescription drugs as well as drugs that can be bought over the counter such as alcohol. Abusing any one of these drugs can lead directly to addiction.  An addict is someone who continues to abuse drugs despite the negative impact they have on their life.  Breaking a drug addiction can be a long and difficult process.  It may involve help from a doctor, family, and friends.  It may also involve the support of others who have an addiction.  Regardless, the goal of treatment is to help an addict resist the urge to use drugs again.  To get answers to all your drug abuse questions, visit our list of Recommended Sites.
