Environmental Health

Thanks to improvements in the health of our environment, Americans are living almost twice as long as they were just over a century ago.  Changes like improved sanitation, cleaner air and water, and the safer use of chemicals have made a world of difference in our lives.  In addition to the air we breathe and the water we drink, the environment also includes our homes, our jobs, and even our bodies.  As individuals, there are simple steps we can take to protect our environments such as testing our homes for radon or washing our hands after cooking.  To get answers to all your environmental health questions, visit our list of Recommended Sites.
