Devante Hart - Vampires, Action, Adventure, Love and Desire. If any of these things interest you and you like reading, you should check out the Twilight Series. It is truly a fascinating tale in the form of 4 books and three current movies based on the original novel by Stephanie Meyer. Personally, I enjoy the books more than the movies because the book provides a more in-depth into stroyline than the movies. I also enjoy the overall twist that Stephanie Meyer puts on what people usually think of vampires. If you enjoy reading or you’re looking for something new to get into I recommend the Twilight Series. Although we know there aren’t any vampires, the Twilight Series remains a popular series, letting the reader think if only for a second...what if.

Mercedes Johnson - Twilight is more than just a book, more than just a movie. For me, it’s a lifestyle. It shows me that love can be anywhere or come from anyone. It shows me that sometimes you just have to learn to live life the way it is given to you and never try to change it. Yes some people say that vampires aren’t real and they don’t believe in them. I agree with you, but it’s not about whether you believe in them or not. It's about what you get from the book. For the people who actually never read or saw Twilight, you should really look into it. If you don't like to read big books its ok because there's a movie out, too. I would rather see the movie because it makes it easier to understand what’s going and it opens your imagination so much more.

Larry Nowlin - My favorite movie ever is The Dark Knight. I would recommend this movie to anyone young and old. The movie was so action packed and thrilling that it grabs your attention every second. There wasn’t one time where I thought I could get up and get some popcorn without missing a good part. It's directed by my favorite director of all time, Christopher Nolan. He also worked on the new movie Inception which I heard was good but I haven’t seen it. For everyone that’s looking for a good movie that hasn’t seen The Dark Knight go see it. It came out in 2008, but it never gets old!

Faith Konigbagbe - I become upset whenever my friends talk about fun city events that I have missed this summer. Usually, such conversations begin with "Man, so and so event was so much fun...oh you didn't go? So sad! Anyway, the event was popping!" What annoys me even more is that those events appeared on my Facebook notifications, but I discovered them too late. So, I have begun a list of the events just in case I forget about them next summer. If you live or plan to visit Philadelphia during the summer, aka Philly, take note of these events:

Although I am pretty sure there are many more events, these are the ones I can remember for now. I will try not to let these events slip by next year. However, I have read a bunch of excellent books this summer, like The Kite Runner, Unaccustomed Earth, and Rebecca (the novel by Daphne DuMaurier). I also went to the beach for the first time in 11 years. So I guess I am not that bitter about summer 2010. Oh...by the way, check out http://www.visitphilly.com/ for fun stuff to do in Philadelphia. The website has more ideas than my list.

Jessica Phares - I have listened to various artists over the years, and each one had a unique style and sound. I must admit, though, that my all time favorite is Death Cab for Cutie. They intertwine soul and passion with creativity to conjure up a song like no other. Each song has a new meaning and feeling to it. Yes, all songs are that way, but there’s an energy from each Death Cab song than makes me feel a different way. My mind drifts in and out of abstract settings when the song is over and the next one begins. It’s a difficult feeling to place into concrete words; you just have to listen to an album, or even a song, and you’ll understand exactly what I mean. And another bonus is that they’re from Seattle, but what great indie/alternative band isn‘t? Suggestions: Title And Registration, We Looked Like Giants, What Sarah Said, Summer Skin (This is a must listen! You’ll have the base ringing in your head for days), A Movie Script, I Will Follow You Into The Dark, Death Of An Interior Decorator, Crooked Teeth, Coney Island, and Brothers On A Hotel Bed.

Jozel Bryant - A television series I would strongly recommend for teens would certainly be Degrassi: The Next Generation. Basically, Degrassi is a teenage soap opera show that explains the cause and effects of all situations that teenagers face both at school and at home. Some topics shown on Degrassi are: drugs and alcohol; STDs and pregnancy; sex; and lies. Sometimes you can relate to the issue and others times you can’t. If you prefer drama over any other genre then Degrassi is for you. Degrassi is better than any teenage show because it’s realistic, while the others seem to be exaggerated. And that is why I enjoy watching Degrassi.
